Steele is probably defending the Democratically influenced black caucus. This guy is nothing but a Democrat in disguise, what's really sad is that people still believe that this mess was caused by the GOP. Here's a news flash for everyone that can't see the trees through the forest. The democrats have been in Congress since 2006, the deregulation of both lending and mortgage practices was strongarmed by the democrats after the Clinton administration (remember, democratic influence once again) initiated the very lending practices that got us into this mess in the first place. (Remember Andrew Cuomo and the Housing and Urban Development committee? Yeah, that was the democratic influence.) Systemic risk of Fannie and Freddie was called into question by both Bush and McCain in an effort to strengthen and supress financial turmoil when Bush had addressed the financial disposition of these GSEs as a, "Potential problem" in 2001. The democrats meanwhile were working in the background with their influence in both the house and the senate, the same influence that later strongarmed this bailout to the very lenders they put at risk with these practices and the healthcare bill their party initiated when Medicare and Social Security was enacted. All of this excessive spending is going towards a mess that this party specifically caused in the first place! That's why Obama wanted to pass this bill while they still had the advantage in legislation because he knows that the odds are likely to be against him with all of the political and financial damage this party has done to this country. Wake up people, Nancy Pelosi is a Democrat, Barney Frank is a Democrat, no Republican voted for this bailout or this health care bill! These donkeys need to be kicked out of office!
