NOW "Incensed" With Obama
The National Organization for Women is "incensed" that Pres. Obama agreed with Rep. Bart Stupak (D-MI) to issue an executive order clarifying restrictions on abortion in the bill, and it just released a statement questioning his commitment to his pro-choice base.
"President Obama campaigned as a pro-choice president, but his actions today suggest that his commitment to reproductive health care is shaky at best," NOW pres. Terry O'Neill wrote in a statement. "Contrary to language in the draft of the executive order and repeated assertions in the news, the Hyde Amendment is not settled law ... The message we have received today is that it is acceptable to negotiate health care on the backs of women, and we couldn't disagree more."
Through two procedural votes on the rule, it doesn't appear the agreement between Stupak and Obama has angered pro-choice Dems enough to threaten passage of the overall health care bill.
But Dems believe passage of the legislation will help rally a slumbering base ahead of the midterm elections, and the last-minute deal with Stupak may put a damper on some of those hopes.
Preventing taxpayers, many adamantly opposed to abortion, from paying for them isn't a "restriction" on abortion. No one is preventing a woman from getting an abortion by not forcing someone else to pay for it. What stupidity.
Fake. They'll act angry. That's all for show. They're making it look like they just gave something up. They know there's nothing there.

The most disingenuous legislation I've seen or heard about in my lifetime. I wake up every day feeling like our own country is at war as I read the morning headlines to see what type of damage Democrats are going to attempt each day.
The Supreme Court has one last chance to stop this nonsense now, or we will endure 50 years of trying to recover from this Congress.
Here's a thought.....Why don't all of the people who are in favor of murdering the unborn get together, fund clinics on their own, and charge what they wish to for for the murders. Oh, I forgot, they only believe in spending everyone elses money, not their own.
Stupak’s Been Lying All Along!!! Here is video from months ago of him saying that he will still vote YES on the health care bill even if he loses the fight to prevent funding for abortion.

Total farce. There will be no Executive Order, and Bart Stupid will put on a little Kibuki show later to claim he was hornswaggled.
Abortion numbers will continue to explode, and federal funding for the liberal Democrat devils who kill these babies will be in the billions as soon as this disaster begins.
Here's a thought... why don't all of the shrill extremists who think life begins at conception and ends at birth A) worry about their own business, B) move to a country where it's considered normal to violate other people's right to privacy, or C) apply that hollow outrage about "murder" to the real people who've been killed and terrorized by zealots from their ranks.
Wonder if any of these bitters spend the same time/energy advocating for the rights of people who were not born here but contribute to our society... as opposed to zygotes not even born in the first place.
