Haley Eschews Labels, Thanks Palin

NikkiHaley.jpgSC State Rep. Nikki Haley (R) acknowledged the role key endorsements played in her upstart campaign while downplaying her ground-breaking win in the SC GOP primary last night.

In an interview with MSNBC Wednesday morning, Haley said ex-AK Gov. Sarah Palin (R) had given her campaign a key boost. Palin appeared with Haley at a rally in Columbia, then in a TV ad as Haley's numbers surged.

"Gov. Palin has been fabulous at getting people to understand the power of their voice," Haley said on "Morning Joe." "She gave us the push we needed at the time."

Meanwhile, Haley downplayed the significant role race played in last night's contests. Haley would not only be SC's first woman governor, she would also be the first minority to hold the office; Haley is of Indian descent. Also last night, state Rep. Tim Scott (R) rolled to a primary win in the race to replace retiring Rep. Henry Brown (R), giving him the chance of becoming the first African American GOPer in Congress since Rep. J.C. Watts (R) left after the '02 elections.

Scott had support from conservative groups like Club for Growth and from Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA). Haley had quiet backing from the RGA and top GOP leaders around the country (Palin had an impact on Haley's behalf, but she gets less credit for helping Scott, whom she endorsed at the last minute).

"This is the start of a movement across the country," Haley said this morning. "We're not going to be associated with labels, we're going to be associated with good policy."

Tuesday was a great night for fiscally responsible, common-sense conservatives and Mama Grizzly feminists. Congratulations, Nikki.

Now, everybody sees and notice the Palin Power. Sarah Palin is slowly but surely forming army of generals and colonels all around the 50 states. Her political strategy is like that of Khmer Rouge of Cambodia and Sandinista of Nicaragua, in which the conquest and influence started from within small towns and villages. By 2012, the big urban cities will be surrounded by Palinistas. Sarah Palin is indeed a brilliant political leader and she knows how to play the "Games of the Generals." She is the kind of leader the United States needs right now. She may be our last hope and real change. The current the One is an aftermarket one and not the real deal. How about Mittens and Huck? I say, do you want America to become extinct? If you answer is yes, then stick with Mittens and Huck.

Sarah Palin is NOT Governor Palin. She's "I quit being Governor after 2 years because of ethics scandals, my megalomania, and financial greed" Palin. She's a failed ex-Governor, and a babbling idiot who's appeal outside the teaparty GOP base is non-existent.

Nikki Haley seems like a competent and smart woman, and I wonder if she will come to regret this faustian pact she struck with Palin. Haley knows that Palin is unelectable nationwide, and that when she has to endorse someone in 2012 in the SC GOP presidential primaries, she'll have to decide between Palin and Romney. If you think the Dems are tough on Palin, just watch the GOP primary battle. Romney et al. think (rightfully) that the woman is a nasty, ignorant demagogue, and will blast her past ethics scandals, her ineptitude, not to mention her utter stupidity. If Haley wants to be a rising star instead of a Sarah Palin groupie, she better get out of Palin's shadow quickly.

Jason is dreaming, typical liberal.Jason will join up with the Circus soon.
Palin will be the next POTUS!

Jason, let me ask you a simple question. Why you hate Palin so much, maybe because you are one of the good old boys from Alaska who got out of job because Sarah Palin was able to get rid of corruption there? Please stop poisoning people's minds. People like you are making America a bad place to live in. I was in Alaska prior to Gov. Palin governance and was there until this year and I know Sarah Palin did wonderful job in Alaska by getting rid of good old boys corruption and had balance the budget. Perhaps, If Sarah Palin did not join the national scene last 2008, she would have been a governor today and would have made Alaska as the most stable states in USA. These are facts that people ought to know. I tell you, Sarah Palin maybe our last hope and real change for America.

I love it when the liberal rodents heads explode just at the mention of Palin's name. There is a new smell in the dumocratic camps. Yes, I do believe that new smell is FEAR!!!
