Obama, Palin Favorability Falls

Pres. Obama's favorability rating, while still strong, has dropped significantly in the last 6 months as he has grappled with a massive oil spill, a tepid economic recovery and a controversial healthcare reform law.
The president's overall favorability has dropped below 60% and his unfavorable rating risen above a third of the public in the latest Society for Human Resource Management/National Journal Congressional Connection Poll, conducted with the Pew Research Center. In the poll, 56% of the public had a favorable opinion, that is, very or mostly favorable, of the president, while 39% had an unfavorable, that is, very or mostly unfavorable, view.
A survey conducted by Pew from Oct. 28 to Nov. 30 had the president's overall favorability at 65%, with 30% unfavorable.
First Lady Michelle Obama remained popular, with 69% favorable and 22% unfavorable. Half of voters viewed Speaker Nancy Pelosi favorably and 27% unfavorably, with 14% saying they had never heard of her. That is higher than a similar poll conducted last year this time that had Pelosi's favorability at 41%.
Boehner was much less well known, with 54% of those polled saying they had never heard of him. His favorable rating stood at 12%, and 22% see him unfavorably.
Ex-AK Gov. Sarah Palin hit a low since Pew first included her name in mid-Sept. '08. She now is viewed favorably by 39%, while 52% view her unfavorably. Men were split on her, with 44% viewing her favorably and 45% unfavorably. But 58% of women turned thumbs down on her; only 35% were thumbs up.
The youngest segment surveyed, aged 18 to 29, were the most negative on Palin, splitting 32%-59%.
The poll of 1,010 adults who were reached by landline or cell phone was conducted Thursday through Sunday. The margin of error is 4 points for the entire sample, with larger error margins for subgroups.
I would recommend a poll of "adults" that include independents and Republicans.

I think maybe you should try a poll that samples more than just the staff of your office. Aside from your inane Obama approval number, to attempt to convince any living human not on some sort of aggressive lithium regimen that Pelosis favorables are in positive territory is just a wee bit silly. You'd be far better served just making stuff up out of thin air, and just about as accurate.

More and more polls are being used to drive public opinion rather than reflect it. You can come up with whatever poll results depending on the sampling you select and weighing factors.

Palin's endorsements only work in the primary, where mostly far right voters participate. Her endorsements will have a negative effect in the general elections, as confirmed by this and every other poll of her overall numbers.

You must have really worked hard to try to show Palin in a negative light. The only way you came up with those numbers for her would have been to take a poll in a liberal college or maybe a democrat fund raiser.
Palin is highly favored with anyone I meet and in my state.

This poll was done at Joe Biden's press pool party, and the respondents were all from MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, Telemundo and Pravda. No one could tell the difference between any of the idiot pressheads.

The Gfk is a German pollster that came into being just after Hitler garnered his power. They helped convince is opposition and undecideds that his polcies and approval was very high.
The Gfk now does the same thing for Obama and they make his oppositions approval numbers low.
The Gfk doesn't do a proper sampling of the demographics on purpose. They ask far to many "Democrats' who are now the smallest affliation.

You need to have two cups of coffee, George E. Condon Jr., and reacquaint yourself with reality. Obama is polling in the mid to low 40's in every legitimate poll out there today, and even those routinely over-sample Democrats.

As for the falling economy, W had his share of the blame to shoulder but the Dems controlled Congress when the bottom started falling out. W's biggest mistake was under-utilizing his veto. This is my opinion, yours will surely vary.
